Chances are someone you never want as a member of Western society to hear familiar with them, but not everything revolves around the Western culture in spite of what we think. Bruce Lee was known after his death than during. Lucy Liu is seen as an American than Asia for Asians, and Jackie Chan deeply unpopular in his hometown of Hong Kong (lived there) for centuries. Then you have the question of what they see as a sign of success. Is it how well do you know? how much money you make?
